One of my favourite classes of locomotive, and i'm very lucky that my father managed to take this many photographs of them over the years.

Class 50 50005 Collingwood heads a westbound express through Didcot. This is at some point prior to August 1982 when it would undergo refurbishment and be outshopped in Large Logo livery.

Class 50 50008 Thunderer slowing to stop at Reading, with what looks to be an eastbound Paddington to Oxford or Newbury service in the early 1980's. Thunderer would only remain in BR Blue for a little longer, being refurbished and outshopped in Large Logo blue livery in December 1981.

Class 50 50012 Benbow storms through Ealing Broadway with an eastbound Paddington to Oxford or Newbury service in the mid 1980's.

Class 50 50013 Agincourt heads a westbound express through Hayes and Harlington station. Whilst I have no date for this photo, the fact that it is in refurbished condition, but still relatively clean would suggest it's not long been released back into traffic. It was released from refurbishment on 7th June 1980, so this photo would probably have been taken within a month or 2 of that date. One of a few refurbished Class 50's to be released back into traffic in BR Blue livery, it would last in this condition until repainted into Large Logo in September 1984.

Class 50 50014 Warspite pauses at Platform 4 of Reading station. Warspite was refurbished and gained it's Large Logo livery in December 1983, so this photo would be after that date, but before December 1987, when it was withdrawn from traffic. Scrapping sadly followed by July 1989.
